Week before Spring Break

So this past week was full of excitement. First of all, after our snow day, we had a beautiful day on March 3. I took the girls to the park for a while.

On Thursday, Cadyn had her first soccer practice ever. Too cute for words!

Unfortunately, Cadyn couldn't play in her first game Saturday because she caught a stomach bug on Friday night. We tried to have a family night and watch "Where the Wild Things Are," but it didn't really work out the way we planned. We also had to miss Molly's 2nd birthday party on Saturday. So sad.

On an even sadder note, we are praying very, very, very hard for a 2 year old, Layla Grace Marsh. She is the youngest daughter of one of my high school friends. She is in the dying stages of Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. She is suffering, but in her short 2 years, she has done more than most of could in a full lifetime. She has made people love more and be closer to their families. Please read her parents' blog. Or you can even catch up on their tweets on Twitter. It's a very touching and heartbreaking story. My first blog ever!

So this week last week of February has been great! We had our Richards' family reunion, snow on Tuesday, and a beautiful weekend to celebrate Becky Roberts' birthday.

So let's begin with reunion. We got to Wimberly on Friday evening after a full day of packing (I am soooo ADD when it comes to cleaning and packing). It was Cadyn's first time at the Pioneer Town and Austin's first reunion ever. We had a great time! We played "Thumper" which we ended up changing the name to "Goldschlager" thanks to Stacey. Cadyn played in the arcade and with the big girls. We did a scavenger hunt and did our Family Feud skit. Good food...Harold and Debi can sure cook. I look forward to reunion every year just for the Tortilla Soup! Here are some pictures:

Tuesday after reunion was our snow day (Feb. 23, 2010)! We had huge flakes falling in Leander/Cedar Park! It was so cool. Cadyn ended up making her first snowman with Pops, Austin ate some snow, we had snowball fights and tried using a boogy board as a sled! So much fun!

Yesterday we celebrated Becky's birthday. I started by getting my hair did. Then we went to Athenian Grill. For the most part it was good, but we had our Hanson waiter must have been a rookie! Service was not the best. From there, we went to J Black's and danced some, then we went to Molotov and hung out with Jason, Chad and Dillon for a bit (Christina was working at the bar). We then went to Kung Fu Saloon and my brother met up with us. He told me about Scoot Inn (East-siiiide) and there were DJ's mashing Madonna and Beatles...yes please! Good times!

So that was my exciting week. Hoping this week will be just as good, or better. Cadyn has her first soccer practice on Thursday with her first game on Saturday! Should be exciting!
